The spring F.I.R.E. Retreat is scheduled for April 5-7, 2013.  “F.I.R.E” stands for Faith In Receiving the Eucharist, and as the name suggests, this is a Eucharistic-centered weekend designed for you to personally encounter Jesus and grow in your intimacy with God.

We will take you to a beautiful retreat center where you are provided with a weekend free from life’s distractions so you are able to redirect your focus to the Only One who can provide perfect mercy and peace! 

Our prayer is that you will come to better understand why this Eucharist is the Source and Summit of our Christian faith, and that you will experience true unity with your brothers and sisters in Christ.

To begin with, how does a weekend to relax and not think about school sound?

You will also meet a lot of great people who share your desire to grow closer to God.  College is full of many distractions that make finding time for God VERY difficult.  Give God ONE weekend this year and you will NOT regret it.  He will meet you exactly where you are and will bless you.

#1 “Retreats are for holy people, I’m just not ready.”

Yes you ARE ready!  This retreat is not for people who are holy or think they are holy, but who WANT to be holy.  We don’t make changes in our lives to prepare ourselves to go on a retreat, you go on a retreat to transform and prepare yourself for life!

#2 “ Real life begins after college”

This can be an easy one to fall into, but this way of thinking causes serious problems in our spiritual lives.  We might fall into the trap of believing that God will become important later when it comes to things like marriage and family, but we fail to see what God is doing in the present.  “Real life” is NOW and the plan God has for us has already begun.
