Marriage is a life-long partnership between a man and woman which is both for the good of the spouses and for the generation and education of children. Marriage shows the unity of Christ and His Body, the Church.

If you are engaged, congratulations! We are happy to help our parishioners prepare for and enjoy a blessed marriage in Christ.
Fr. Tony Eseke, our parochial vicar, coordinates the marriage preparation program at our parish, but any of our priests can prepare our parishioners for marriage. Gail Fitzsimmons assists Fr. Tony by meeting with couples for their initial orientation in the marriage preparation process, as well as helping couples to keep track of their progress. Doug works with the couple to plan the ceremony, when the wedding is at St. Augustine's.
Before beginning marriage preparation, you should do two things: if you have not registered as a member of the parish, then please register; and if you have not reviewed the diocesan marriage preparation page, please do so.
Please note that diocesan policy requires couples spend at least eight months in marriage preparation.
If you are interested in marriage preparation, please contact Gail to schedule your initial orientation.
