If God gave you the talent and skill for music, do something with it! As Christians, we are all called by Baptism to give of our time, talent and treasure to the Church. Sharing your musical talents is one of many ways to do so and is an important service and ministry to others who worship here in the St. Augustine's community. Good and beautiful liturigical music brings others closer to Christ. Here at St. A's, we seek to follow the slogan often attributed to our patron, St. Augustine of Hippo: "Qui bene cantat bis orat" or "He who sings well prays twice".
Singers and instruments of all types and experience levels are welcome. We have music at our Sunday liturgies, special feasts and solemnities. We also have music on our Tuesday evening liturgies right before the Newman Dinner. We presently sing in a variety of styles.
To get involved, fill out the form below. Let's get in touch, get an idea of your musical interests and abilities, and we will contact you to get you connected to the St. A's community.
"This world in which we live needs beauty in order not to sink into despair. It is beauty, like truth, which brings joy to the heart of man and is that precious fruit which resists the year and tear of time, which unites generations and makes them share things in admiration." - Venerable Pope Paul VI (December 8, 1965)
