Joe Sutherland

Hello my name is Joseph Sutherland, but everybody calls me Joe. I grew up in Vero Beach, FL and attended Vero Beach High School. I graduated from the University of Florida in 2018 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. During my undergraduate years, with the support of the Catholic Gator community, I decided to make Jesus Christ the center of my life. After graduating I said yes to God's call to mission and I became a FOCUS Missionary. I then served for two years at Ole Miss in Oxford, MS. I am grateful to have returned to the homeland here at Saint Augustine Catholic Church to serve as the Team Director with the FOCUS Missionary team. As team director I help to lead the missionary effort within Catholic Gators as we invite college students (new and old) into a growing relationship with Christ and His Church. I hope to help inspire and equip students for a lifetime of evangelization and discipleship with Christ. Also, I love a good cup of coffee.
