Growing up in South Florida, my family went to church on Sundays but that was about it. After high school, I moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida, excited to pursue (at the time) veterinary medicine. During my first few years at UF my faith was not a priority and I didn't go to church often. Then, after a life changing experience studying abroad, I started to come back to church my senior year, changed my major to something I was passionate about, and really started to grow in my faith. I graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Classical Studies and stayed at UF for a post-baccalaureate program to finish the requirements for entrance to grad school.
After realizing that academia was not for me, I remained in Gainesville unsure of my future. After serving as a intern at the Catholic Student Center, I realized that I wanted to pursue campus ministry. Today, I am blessed to serve the community that brought me back to my faith as a campus minister. I love my job and seeing others grow in their relationship with Jesus, and am so excited for the things the Holy Spirit has planned for this community!
