Seth Caraecle

Hey!! My name is Seth Caraecle and I was born in the beautiful island of Iloilo City in the Philippines, the “city of love.” Once I turned 5 I moved with my parents, Jerylen and Romano, to America for better opportunities. I grew up in Gainesville at the local Catholic Schools, Saint Patricks Interparish School and Saint Francis Catholic Academy. In 2018 my friends introduced me to Catholic Gators by bringing me to a Newman dinner and eventually I got to go on the Alpha retreat(you should sign up if you haven’t) which was a key part in the start of my spiritual life. Through the years I have had the opportunity to serve as Men’s Chair, Alpha Leader (Fall '21), and the Parish Evangelization team coordinator. Catholic Gators is a special place to me and it was where I was truly transformed and it was here where I have fallen in love with Lord. When I’m around the church you will most likely find me talking about Gator Athletics, golf, Liverpool FC, or a new song that has been stuck in my head that I want everyone to hear. Some of my favorite Saints are St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Ignatius of Loyola, St. Lorenzo Ruiz, St. Pedro Calungsod, St. John of the Cross, St. Teresa of Avila, and venerable's Bruno Lanteri and Fulton Sheen. The Lord has done so much for me through Catholic Gators and I can't wait to give back to the community that has given so much to me in my role as Campus Minister!
