RCIA and Adult Confirmation

RCIA is how adults join the Catholic Church.  It's about living the fullness of the Christian life.  RCIA is a process which culminates in the sacraments of initiation, which are Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.

If an adult is not yet baptized, RCIA is how they become members of the Body of Christ.  If they are already baptized, RCIA is how they enter into full communion with the Catholic Church.

Confirmation
Confirmation is the Gift of the Holy Spirit activating the graces we receive in Baptism. Together with the Eucharist, it completes our initiation into Christ's Church.  Click here to read what the catechism says about Confirmation.

The Adult Confirmation Preparation Program is for parishioners who are over 18 years of age and who have been baptized and received First Communion, but who have yet to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

There is no fee, you only need a sponsor and your own commitment.  For more information on Sponsors click here.

1. Register with the parish, if you haven't yet.
2. Set up a meeting with Vincent!
3. Have a copy of your baptismal certificate sent from the church where you were baptized to Vincent Herzog here at St. Augustine.
